Love Your Library – Oakmont Carnegie Library

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

Each September, we ask for your support during Love Your Library (LYL) month, and each year, your donations allow us to continue to grow and maintain a diverse collection of fiction and non-fiction materials, a robust youth collection, and to provide access to Wi-Fi and computers, as well as to offer free events for children, teens and adults.

Together with your support, let us share with you some of what we have accomplished this year:

OCL lent out over 60,000 books to residents. Our library card holders also borrowed approximately 20,000 eBooks.
Our historic building welcomed 92,000 visits and our talented staff and volunteers offered more than 200 free programs to the community with over 3,000 individuals in attendance.
Our Makerspace increased public visitation hours, offered more events, and acquired a new 3D printer with advanced capabilities free for public use.
With help from the FOOLs, we added a family workstation for parents to accomplish their goals while keeping their infants safe beside them.
HVAC mechanical systems were replaced throughout the entire building with significant support from Oakmont Borough and Keystone Grant funding.
