Use these library databases to find articles and information from journals, magazines, newspapers, and websites on a variety of academic subjects.  These databases also provide information and resources about genealogy, standardized testing such as the GED and the PRAXIS, auto repair, and many other topics!  You will need your library card number to access these databases from home.

PA POWER Library

Access Pennsylvania’s Online World of Electronic Resources!  The POWER Library is offered as a service of Pennsylvania’s public libraries, school libraries and the State Library. The POWER library allows you to access thousands of full text periodical articles, newspapers, a major encyclopedia, plus photographs, pictures, charts, maps, reference materials for young people and more. You will find materials of interest in most subject areas for all age groups from young children to adults.  You will need your library card number to access these databases from home.

This project is made possible in part by Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) funds from the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services and through Library Access Funds administered by the Office of Commonwealth Libraries, Department of Education, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Tom Wolf, Governor.

First published in 1899 as a small reference book for physicians and pharmacists,  the Manual grew in size and scope to become one of the most widely used comprehensive medical resources for professionals and consumers. As the Manual evolved, it continually expanded the reach and depth of its offerings to reflect the mission of providing the best medical information of the day to a wide cross-section of users, including medical professionals and students, veterinarians and veterinary students, and consumers.

Khan Academy –
With over 3,200 videos on everything from arithmetic to physics, finance, and history and hundreds of skills to practice, Khan Academy is on a mission to help you learn what you want, when you want, at your own pace.

Trulia –
Trulia is providing libraries with free in depth neighborhood information so you can study tax records, school ratings, crime reports, hazard maps, pollen counts and more all in one spot! Additionally, Trulia offers extensive guides so you can learn the best way to buy or sell a home.  This data is meant to be purely educational and consumer friendly.  Trulia is predominantly backed by local real estate brokerages, which is how they are able to provide all of their content for free!
