Smart Campaign

The Oakmont Carnegie Library Board launched the S.M.A.R.T. (Sustaining, Maintaining, Adapting, Responding, and Teaching) campaign in 2016. The goal of this campaign is to improve the sustainability of the library by investing in green projects to reduce energy costs. Our 11,000 square foot building is a beautiful mixture of old and new. We are committed to keeping this legacy building strong for future residents.

Because of the campaign we have added new technologies to our meeting rooms, upgraded lighting in the children’s department and are in the process of upgrading lighting in the adult area with energy saving, long lasting LED lights.

Our next goal is to upgrade and update the facilities in the children’s department by adding age appropriate fixtures, furniture and a creative space for all residents. Your tax-deductible donation to this campaign will support these goals and insure that the Oakmont Carnegie Library will be here for future generations.
