The Oakmont Carnegie Library Board is launching our S.M.A.R.T. (Sustaining, Maintaining, Adapting, Responding, Teaching) campaign and is asking you, a valued member of our community, to support the Oakmont Carnegie Library. By doing so, you support the communities of Oakmont and Verona, both children and adults.

The S.M.A.R.T. campaign will improve the sustainabililty of the library by investing in green projects to reduce energy costs. Our 11,000 square foot building is a beautiful mixture of old and new. We are committed to keeping this historical fixture strong for the future. Some of our S.M.A.R.T. projects include:

This campaign will improve the sustainability of the Library by investing in green projects to reduce energy costs.
Our projects include:

Sustaining storm water management best practices to remediate lower level flooding
Maintaining the integrity of our historic building
Adapting to technology by acquiring Smart Boards and a 3D printer
Responding to aged fixtures by replacing them with energy efficient components and
Teaching through adult and children programming.

Our goal is to raise $300,000 from the business and private communities for these projects. We work every day to represent all that is good and valued to residents and visitors of Oakmont and Verona. Additionally, we do our best to offer a variety of activities and services to patrons, many of whom are your valued customers and employees.

One benefit we provide to our community is the gift of sustainability by providing the opportunity to share resources. This results in direct cost savings to our library patrons and in the reduction of materials that ultimately end up in a landfill. We also provide a meeting space for businesses and community groups, children's activities, adult classes, and a speaker series.

Your tax deductible gift will help grow our library into the future.
